D.A. Camping

The N.F.D.A. in common with other D.A.'s arrange weekend meets during the camping season. These are normally quiet weekend meets at minimum facility sites, usually a farmers field. On longer Bank Holiday meets it is usual for us to put on a programme of entertainment. As a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club you are welcome to attend any other D.A. 's meet if they are camping where you fancy. The details of these are published in the 'Out and About' section of the magazine.

Holiday Sites

The N.F.D.A. runs holiday sites for the benefit of club members. Many other D.A.'s run these across the UK so people can enjoy relatively inexpensive holidays. These sites are always advertised in the supplement which accompanies the national magazine. The meets are held at differing times during the year and are available for one or more nights camping.

Winter Activities

During the winter months we keep in touch by means of various activities. Examples of these are winter walks, Winter rallies, end of season supper, Christmas party and the annual Dinner and Dance.

Newsletter

The N.F.D.A. produces its own newsletter 'Picket Post.' This gives greater information on local activities within the D.A. and prints reports from various members. This is issued monthly to D.A. members (including opted in members) at cost price. Members can contact the editor by email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Youth Activities

When children reach the age of 12 they can join the youth section. At some weekend meets an area is set aside for these young people to camp seperately. More details can be read on the youth pages section here

Junior Activities

The junior section is open to younger members aged 8 to 11 years. More details can be read on the juniors activities here.

Public Relations

Our public relations officer is knowledgeable about the club and is active on our behalf. This officer is always willing, as are most members, to answer questions about the Club and its camping.

We look forward to welcoming you on site at one of our activities in the future
